Today was a perfect day to walk while learning new things about Catholic religion in our town. I found out new things through the day such as the Christain Brothers founded the first boys' school. I also learned that our school, St Joseph's College, was the amalgamation of St Joseph's Primary, St Pius X College and Ave Maria College. I believe that this day was amazing and very interesting! Thank you to Mr Bogoni for organising this Year 10 Pilgrimage.

The College team for the ACC athletics carnival to be held in Perth has been selected and students will travel to Perth on Sunday 3rd September to compete at the WA Athletics stadium on Monday 4th September. We wish them the best of success.
In a vibrant display of athleticism and camaraderie, St. Joseph's School recently participated in the "Try a New Sport Day," introducing students to the exhilarating worlds of AFL, Hockey, Soccer, and Basketball. The event, aimed at broadening horizons and encouraging physical activity in activities students would not usually engage in.
Under the clear skies, North Road Playing Fields transformed into a dynamic arena where budding athletes took on new challenges. From dribbling soccer balls to wielding hockey sticks, the students showcased not just their sporting potential, but also their adaptability and enthusiasm to embrace the unfamiliar.
"Try a New Sport Day" not only fosters a sense of healthy competition but also imparts valuable life skills such as teamwork, perseverance, and discipline. Students not only got to experience the thrill of each sport but also discovered the joy of stepping out of their comfort zones. The event left everyone inspired to continue exploring new avenues in the world of sports and beyond.
Thank you to all Year 5 & 6 Teachers and the CERT II Sport Coaching students for assisting with the running of the day.

Congratulations to Zephyr and Storm who represented the College at the State School Surfing Titles at Trigg Beach, Perth, last Friday. The boys progressed through to the final after their win at the regional event earlier in the year. While the standard of surfing at the State Titles was very high, the size of the waves was not so high! The boys competed well but were not able to progress beyond the early rounds. Well done on your efforts boys.

A big highlight for the Kindy children (and for some the most exciting part of the excursion) was their first school bus ride! A wop bop a lu mop a wop bam boom! ‘Grease is the Word’ for ALOTCo in 2023!
If you've loved Grease since you first saw it on the big screen or fell in love with one of the stage revivals ... Throw your mittens around your kittens and away we go ….
It's 1959 and Rydell High Seniors are in fine form - the too-cool-for-school Pink Ladies and T-Birds rule.
At times crass, tough, vulnerable, lusty, and romantic, Grease the musical follows ten working class teens as they navigate the complexities of peer pressure, personal values and love. It's not all about Sandy and Danny. The focus of this production will be developing a strong ensemble performance that takes the audience back to gritty roots of Grease before the highly polished, but beloved film version.
Adult themes.
