Are you interested in going straight into the workforce? Do you have initiative and a great work ethic? Might you not necessarily want to follow the university path?

Main Roads is currently looking to recruit into the Business Services team.

If you are motivated, keen to work, keen to learn and keen to earn, we are looking for you!

Business Services covers all aspects of administration function including, but not limited to reception duties and utilising a customer relationship management system, running the security system including issuing swipe cards and gate remotes, reconciling corporate credit card payments, managing a complex records management system, dealing with customers and incoming correspondence, being part of a team, learning aspects of the road building industry and doing corporate purchasing for office items.

Computer skills, a willingness to learn and a “can do” attitude are necessary but all other duties will be taught.

Featuring stalls, live entertainment, Zumba, the Hat Competition, and of course cake! Mad Hatter is an annual community event to celebrate and raise awareness for mental health, reduce stigma and create connections in the Albany community. And it's FREE!

WISE MINDS GROUP

Wise Minds is an emotion regulations skills based group for 12-16 year olds. Young people practise different mindful activities each week and learn different techniques to manage strong emotions in a healthy way. The group runs at headspace Albany from weeks 2-7 of each school term on Tuesday afternoons 3.45-4.30pm. In Term 4, the 6 week program will start on 17^th October. Albany Plaza Discount Drug Store is looking for a Gap year student to join our busy, shopping centre Pharmacy. This is a full-time position working Tuesday to Saturday. Start date is flexible. If you were interested in starting work before the end of the school year we would be happy for you to start earlier in a part-time capacity. No prior experience in Pharmacy is required and there will be plenty of on-the-job training provided.

At times crass, tough, vulnerable, lusty, and romantic, Grease the musical follows ten working class teens as they navigate the complexities of peer pressure, personal values and love. It's not all about Sandy and Danny. The focus of this production will be developing a strong ensemble performance that takes the audience back to gritty roots of Grease before the highly polished, but beloved film version.

As we head towards summer a lot of families are starting to get back into the water or planning holidays by the beach, rivers or swimming pools. It is important we help them support their child to stay safe and confident in the water.

VacSwim provides children aged five to 17 years with the opportunity to develop and progress their swimming and water safety skills during the school holidays at many locations across the State. There are programs for beginner, intermediate and advanced swimmers.

The Little Athletics season starts on the 07th of October 2023 with a "come and try" day and will conclude in March 2024 after the State Championships for those attending.  

This coming season we are focused on running a three weekly program on a rotation basis, this will allow for shorter mornings and a wider variety of events over the season. The Albany Little Athletics program offers all age groups the opportunity to compete in running, throwing and jumping events. These events are modified to suit all ages and abilities of all members, catering for our very youngest members all the way through to our Under 17's.

After a successful summer season in our southern waters, STS Leeuwin II has now entered a period of refit, in preparation for our northern rotation. During the winter months we head North, where trainees will get to have a very special experience in an extraordinary location.
