Orientation Day 2025 - A sneak peak into Year 7!

Posted: Tuesday 2 December 2025

Last week, we welcomed our future Year 7 students for Orientation Day. While the morning began with a few nervous faces, by the end of the day, excitement was buzzing throughout the College! The day was packed with activities designed to give students a taste of high school. To begin the day, students gathered in the Chapel for a beautiful Prayer Service, setting a reflective and welcoming tone for the day ahead. They explored their creative side in Art, whipped up mini pizzas in Home Economics and had a go at problem-solving challenges. One of the highlights was the scavenger hunt, which had students racing around the high school discovering key locations and hopefully becoming familiar with where everything is for next year.

Orientation Day wasn't just about fun - it was about building confidence, making new friends and feeling ready for their high school journey. Judging by the smiles and laughter at the end of the day, we think it's safe to say, our future Year 7s are ready for the adventure ahead!

ADPSSA Interschool Athletics Carnival

Junior School
Posted: Monday 1 December 2025

Over two days, the St Joseph's Interschool Athletics team competed in a variety of different athletics events against the other ADPSSA schools, gaining points in the hope of winning the shield for a 3rd consecutive year. The students had been training hard in the early mornings before school so were hopeful the hard work would pay off.

On Tuesday 18th November, the throws and jumps events were held here on the College oval. Students competed in triple jump, long jump, high jump and Turbo javelin. St Joe's held a narrow lead at the end of the day, with the track events still to come. After being postponed due to poor weather, the track events were held on Thursday 27th November at the North Road Athletics Track. Some year groups had to dig deep to cover for injured team-mates, but after some outstanding performances on the track, St Joseph's was declared the overall winner for the 2025 Interschool Athletics Carnival!

Well done to all the students who competed over the two days. No matter how big or small your contribution was, every point helped in achieving this victory. A special congratulations to Mason Banham (6B) who won the Champion Boy medallion.
