A heartfelt thank you to the St Joseph’s College community for your wonderful support of this year’s Scholastic Book Fair. It was fantastic to see the excitement and enthusiasm throughout the event, with students and families enjoying the opportunity to browse and purchase books together.
The College libraries have benefited from Scholastic reward points earned through the Book Fair. These points have enabled some new additions to our library collections, including graphic novels, popular fiction and non-fiction books.
We are grateful for your contribution in helping us continue to foster a love of reading across our College community.
Feast Day: June 6
Patron Saint of: Safe delivery of children
Life:
During the 12th century in France, Saint Norbert founded a religious Order known as the Norbertines. His goal was to revitalise many of the faithful who had turned away from God and preaching peace and forgiveness among enemies. He faced many difficulties but knew that with God he could conquer anything. He continued his work until his death on June 6, 1134.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, we thank You for giving us St. Norbert as an example of holiness. Help us to imitate the love of You he showed when he amended his life and began to seek holiness.
St Norbert, pray for us.
Vinnies WA has launched its annual Winter Appeal for 2026!
As unprecedent demand for assistance across Western Australia continues with more people than ever being forced onto the streets, the College is committed to assisting those struggling in our community through our annual winter food and blanket drive.
Collection boxes will be in each classroom and homeroom for any non-perishable food items that you wish to donate. This year we will also be collecting blankets and warm clothing (jumpers, trackies, beanies, scarves) that are clean and in new or good condition - these can be dropped in at either Library.
On behalf of the College, I would like to thank you for the generosity and commitment that you show each and every year.
Mr Luke Bogoni
Director of Faith and Mission

On Friday 22nd of May, students in the Junior School gathered on the oval to participate in the annual Interhouse Cross Country Carnival. The Pre-Primary students raced in their first ever carnival and were the first event of the day, running their 500m course with enthusiasm and effort. In between races, there was plenty of House spirit being shown from the House bays, and the Tug-of-War competition added to the excitement of the day. Congratulations to Cunningham on being crowned overall winners yet again! We now look forward to the Interschool carnival coming up in Week 9, where we hope St Joe's can try and take home the winning shield.

Last week, students enjoyed participating in this year’s National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS), joining millions of children across Australia to share the story Luna Roo: The Kangaroo Baller by Adam Jackson and Adrian Lloyd. The engaging story follows Luna Roo as she learns the importance of courage, teamwork and believing in herself while leading her team through an exciting football match.
National Simultaneous Storytime is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate reading and literacy, while connecting with schools and libraries across the country through a shared reading experience.
